ICE CLIMBING & SNOWSHOEING
White
Mountains
New Hampshire
February 20-24, 1999
Ages 15-17
The
extreme route was taken during winter vacation. A physical and spiritual
challenge awaited us in the vast and awesome White Mountains
of New Hampshire.
We
spent 4 nights and 5 days at New England's highest point ~ Mount Washington.
Our
days were spent backpacking on snowshoes and ice-climbing with guides
from Eastern Mountain Sports. At night we relaxed by the fire at the Pinkham
Notch camp of the Appalachian Mountain Club.
