ADULT HIGH ADVENTURE 16th Expedition PRESIDENTIAL TRAVERSE August 25 - 31, 2002 Strong Wings made the ultimate trip in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The team spent five days backpacking from Franconia Notch to our destination at Pinkham Notch. We slept in rustic lodges and huts where ‘all you can eat’ breakfasts and dinners were provided by the Appalachian Mountain Club. The trip totaled 35 miles and involved a summit of Mount Washington. Our days were physically and spiritually challenging. |
